Sang Hoon Ahn, MD
​Gastric Cancer 

Dr. Ahn received his MD from Seoul National University in South Korea. He then completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and his fellowship in Hematology/ Oncology at the University of Arizona. He has been practicing as an oncologist in the Los Angeles area for more than 20 years.

Sang Won Lee, MD 
Colon Cancer 

Dr. Lee obtained his MD from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency at Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital, Harvard School of Medicine. Dr. Lee obtained further training in laparoscopic surgery and colorectal surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital Cornell and Columbia Medical Center.

Christopher Lee, MD 
Lung Cancer Screening

Dr. Lee received both his undergraduate and medical training at UCLA. He remained at UCLA for both his diagnostic radiology residency and thoracic imaging fellowship. He was recently awarded a $503,000 grant to perform lung cancer screening of individuals from underserved communities in LA County.

Ho S. Bae, MD
​Hepatitis 

Dr. Bae is a private practice physician and the medical director of the Asian Pacific Liver Center, Los Angeles.  APLC focuses on screening, early detection, and treatment of chronic hepatitis B and hepatocellular carcinoma. Having completed his fellowship in Gastroenterology/ Hepatology at UCLA/Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Dr. Bae also participates in clinical research.

Alice Chung, MD & Monica Lee, MD
Breast Cancer Screening & Treatment 

Dr. Chung received her MD from Chicago Medical School and completed her residency and research fellowship in surgery at Cedars-Sinai, where she received the Leo G. Rigler Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement and the Craig A. Lipkin Research Award. She then completed her fellowship in breast surgery at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NY.

Dr. Lee received her MD from the Chicago Medical School and did her residency training in Internal Medicine at UCLA-Olive View Medical Center. She then went on to complete her fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UCLA-Olive View Medical Center.

Austina Cho, MD & 
Soni Kim, Psy.D
Korean American Mental Health

Dr. Cho received her MD from LSU-New Orleans and completed her psychiatry residency at UC-Irvine. In the past, she served as a Medical Director of the largest outpatient mental health clinic in Los Angeles. Currently, she serves as a psychiatrist and Medical Director at Korean Community Services.

Dr. Kim received her BS from Boston College and her Doctor of Psychology degree from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She served as an Adjunct Associate Professor at USC’s Marriage and Family Therapy program and supervised psychologists in psychotherapy and assessment at The Guidance Center in Long Beach.

David Y. Ko, MD
Alzheimer's Disease

Dr. Ko obtained his MD from George Washington University and completed his residency training in Neurology at Thomas Jefferson University, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a fellowship in Epilepsy and Clinical Neurophysiology at the NIH and served as Lieutenant Commander in the US Public Health Service.

Dr. Yoon received his MD from New York Medical College in 2002 and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiology at the Montefiore Medical Center in New York. He pursued further training in advanced cardiac imaging at the Yale VA Medical Center and St. Francis Hospital.

Policy & Community Outreach 

Mr. Choi currently serves as the Deputy Director for the Senate Democratic Caucus, which oversees the Senate President Pro Tempore’s District Office and the Southern California Democratic Caucus operation. He received his undergraduate degree and JD from UCLA. He is passionate about using the political process to empower underserved communities. 

Alexander Kim received his MBA from Pepperdine and B.S. Biology from the UC Irvine.  He is senior Advisor to the City of Los Angeles Councilmember David E. Ryu and previously served on the California Board of Optometry from 2011-2015.  From 2011-2015, he served as Deputy Director to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Robert Park currently serves as California State Assemblyman Miguel Santiago’s Field Deputy to the communities of Koreatown, Little Tokyo, East Hollywood, West Adams, and Larchmont Village.  He also covers all issues pertaining to health, education, and transportation at the district level for the Assemblyman.  Robert is a proud UCLA Bruin and life-long resident of Koreatown, Los Angeles.

Ashlee Oh, MPA is a Consultant for the Homeless Initiative for County of Los Angeles and consults for Harbage Consulting training diverse stakeholders to successfully implement California Department of Health Care Services’ Coordinated Care. Ms. Oh holds a Master in Public Administration degree from San Jose State University and Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology from University of California, Los Angeles.
